VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to access campus-only services while working remotely.

Employees must request and be granted access prior to installing or connecting to the VPN.

Employees who wish to use the VPN while traveling internationally should contact Information Technology prior to travel for approval.

The VPN client should only be installed on your University laptop. It is prohibited on personal devices.

The VPN connection should only be used to access on-campus resources (i.e. Colleague, Informer, shared drives, etc.) while working remotely.

On your University Windows laptop please install The Global Protect VPN via the Company Portal app: Company Portal.

Accessing

Portal Address

1. The first time you connect, you will be prompted for a portal address:

   1. Portal Address: access.northpark.edu

   2. Open

      

2. Select Connect

3. If/When prompted, authenticate using your University email address, password, and MFA verification.

Connecting

1. Launch the Global Connect agent, either in your task bar or applications menu.

   1. The client should remember the Portal Address. If not, enter access.northpark.edu

2. If/When prompted, authenticate using your University email address, password, and MFA verification.

3. Select Connect.

4. You will see an icon in the top menu (Mac) or tray (Windows) indicating that the VPN is connected.
   
   

Disconnecting

Please disconnect from the VPN when you do not need access to campus resources.

1. Click the Global connect icon in the top menu (Mac) or tray (Windows), or open the program from your application menu.
