Step 1: Go to https://echo360.org/downloads
Step 2: Enter your email address, click submit, then select North Park University as your Institution, it may then direct you to a single sign on page where you will have to select your email address, and input your password.
Step 3: Download the appropriate Universal Capture: Personal for your operating system (Mac or PC)
Step 4: Run the installer
Mac: Open the Universal Capture Personal file that was just downloaded, it will pop up a window with a package called Install Echo360 Capture (Personal), open that package and follow the prompts from the installer.
PC: Double click the Universal Capture Personal download, it will pop up an install wizard, follow the prompts to install the application.
Mac: Open the app Echo 360 Capture, it may have to run an update, but when finished, proceed to step 6.

Step 6: Click the login button, it will open or ask to open a browser window. It may only ask for your email address, but it may run you through the full sign on process below:
Enter your email address, click submit, then select North Park University as your Institution, it may then direct you to a single sign on page where you will have to select your email address, and input your password. Once you are logged in online, it should ask if you would like to open the Echo 360 Capture app.
Step 7: Click the left dropdown where it says No Input, and select in the menu your internal or external USB webcam. Now, if you want to also record your screen, select the right dropdown that says No Input, and select in the menu Display 1.
Step 8: Select the dropdown menu that has a microphone icon, and in the dropdown menu select either your Built-in Microphone, or the Microphone for your external USB webcam.
Step 9: Where it says Untitled at the top, click and fill out the Title and Description of your recording, and whether you want the recording to go directly to your library, or also be published to a course.
Note: You can also livestream to a course, by selecting your course, and then checking the livestream box.
Step 10: Press the red record button, it will count down from 5 seconds, and then start recording. You then have the option to stop the recording, pause the recording, or cancel and delete the recording.
Step 11: When you are done, press the stop button, and it will upload the recording to your library, the recording will then need to be processed by echo 360, and this may take some time.
