Borrowing SPSS 21 License for Mac Machines
OLD we no longer borrow licenses this way. Fac/Staff have authorized user licenses that let them use their SPSS installation on or off campus. Campus public lab devices talk to license-2 to authenticate
The SPSS Statistics program license is for use on campus, but those with the Commuter Utility installed can check out a license valid for 15 days.

Follow these instructions for the Mac.
If you are a NPU employee that is borrowing a SPSS 21 license, these are the steps you may follow in order to use SPSS 21 off the campus network. Be aware that the borrow period is 15 days. You may check it out again by repeating the process after 15 days.
Confirm you are connected to the campus network.Go to applications, "Go>Applications."Then find the IBM program folder, and click through until you can double-click on "Commuter Utility."On the next window that opens, click on "IBM SPSS Statistics (1200) 21.0 (x out of x left)" near the top left of the window.Near the bottom of this box, enter in how long you want (in days) to borrow a license (1-15).Hit "Check Out."Then on the right side of the bottom of the box, hit "EXIT."
You may borrow a 15 day license as long as they are available. You must do so on campus. You may check out a new license whenever you'd like, but you must be on campus.
